Product Description
Celebrate Flag Day with FUN and LEARNING!

This isn't just a tab booklet for taking notes! This product includes an informational text passage to teach your students all about this holiday. This tab booklet is the perfect addition to your Social Studies lesson plans to help you cover the standards in a fun and engaging way.

This booklet requires NO PREP, and is easy for students to assemble on their own. There are dotted lines and clear directions so students know exactly where to cut and how to assemble their tab books.

The following activities in this tab book cover standards in Social Studies and ELA:
⚐ Flag Day Facts: Students will read a short informational passage about the history of the American flag and Flag Day, and answer text dependent questions.

⚐ Betsy Ross: Students will learn interesting facts about Betsy Ross and write a reflection. There is also a link on this page that takes you to an animated demonstration of how to make a 5-pointed star with one snip of your scissors! Your students will LOVE this!

⚐ Faces of the Flag (Lift-the-Flap Activity!): This is a timeline where students will learn how the American flag has changed over the years, by matching the historical flags to their descriptions.

⚐ Design Your Own Flag: This page includes a blank flag for your students to demonstrate their "Betsy Ross skills" by designing their very own flag.

Happy Flag Day!
