These cards can be printed on heavy card stock and laminated. Cut them out and punch a hole on the left side. Slide the cards onto a key ring. I then place a key ring at every table. This way the students can refer to them when they are writing.
I run the units in different colors. For example: Unit 1 is yellow, Unit 2 is blue etc. Since Unit 1 and 2 contain 4 sight words. I double them and cut them in half to save on paper. I also send a sheet home for the students to use as flash cards. (I don’t laminate or cut
these out) I have a parent letter explaining how to do this. I run off extra for myself and use them for flash cards and memory games for learning centers or in guided reading.
