Keyboarding- Typing Games- Battle of the Brains Trivia Game
This is a fun activity to do with students in a keyboarding/typing class to help students build their typing speed.
In this download there are two lists of 20 trivia questions- general questions that cover all subject areas that a middle/high school student should be able to answer. There is also an answer key for each set of trivia questions. The directions for each game are as follows: Below are 20 trivia questions that cover many different subject areas. You will be given a set amount of time to respond to the trivia questions. On a blank Word document, please type your name and then go through each question. Number your answers as you respond either manually or with number bullets. Please do your best to answer as many questions as possible in the allotted time. You many skip around but all answers must be numbered accordingly and in order. If you don’t know the answer to a question you can leave it blank, skip the number, or put by the number “Don’t know”. Please make sure to STOP typing your answers when time is called! The student(s) with the most correct answers will be rewarded. Good luck!
Students should really enjoy this activity. Give them a set amount of time and they must type the answers. Walk around and make sure they are not using the Internet to look up anything. When time is up you can have them print out their answers and trade with a classmate and then you can go over the answers. You can do both trivia lists on the same day or do them on separate occasions.
