Keyboarding- Typing Games- Solve That Number Phrase/Saying! Game
This is a fun activity to do with students in a keyboarding/typing class to help students build their typing speed.
This activity consists of 25 number phases/sayings that students have to solve. The directions are as follows: Below are 25 number phrases/sayings. It is you job to solve them! You will be given a set amount of time to respond to the number phrases/sayings. On a blank Word document, please type your name and then go through each phrase/saying. Please get rid of the 1.15 line spacing by clicking on the No Spacing button on the Home tab. Please change the font size to 16. Number your answers as you respond either manually or with number bullets. Please do your best to answer as many number phrases/sayings as possible in the allotted time. You many skip around but all answers must be numbered accordingly and in order. If you don’t know the answer to a number phrase/saying you can leave it blank, skip the number, or put by the number “Don’t know”. Please make sure to STOP typing your answers when time is called! The student(s) with the most correct answers will be rewarded. Good luck!
Students should really enjoy this activity. Give them a set amount of time and they must type the answers. Walk around and make sure they are not using the Internet to look up anything. When time is up you can have them print out their answers and trade with a classmate and then you can go over the answers. A detailed answer key is provided.
