Keyboarding-Typing- Remember-Memorize Letter-Key Location, Reinforcement 1 and 2
This download consists of two typing exercises for students to complete to help them remember-memorize letter-key location. They should be completed after students have learned all letter keys. The can be completed on the same day or separate days. Having students use a keyboard skin or cover would be helpful.
Reinforcement 1 consists of 6 lines for students to type using the left hand and then right hand keys. It is broken down into 2 sections. There are 12 lines altogether.
Reinforcement 2 consists of 3 sections: First Row keys, Second Row Keys, and Third Row Keys. Each section contains 4-7 lines to be typed. Each section also contains sentences I have taught my students to help them learn the order of the keys on each row- acronyms.
1st row- qwerty Ursula’s in our pool.
2nd row- A silly dancing frog giggles happily. Jazzy kangaroo’s little semi.
3rd row- Zack X’claimed, “Vinny’s brother needs money!”
Please see our store for the handout- Keyboarding- Typing-How to Remember the Keys on the Keyboard. This handout contains acronyms to help students learn letter-key location. These acronyms are included in some of the lines.
