The teacher was having such a bad day when she made this book! – so many mistakes!! Arm your Kindies with a magnifying glass and a teacher’s red pen each and guide them in finding and correcting her mistakes. For this resource they are looking for 3 mistakes in each sentence.
When they have circled and corrected them, they rewrite the sentence correctly and give it a friend to check the boxes.
1. Are there capitals?
2. Are there finger spaces?
3. Are there periods or question marks?
4. Are all the letters around the right way?
Checkers then sign their name.
This is a great activity for small group guided instruction. Make up in workbook or use as individual sheets.
Children will need to have:
1. familiarity with the following Dolch sight words:

2. the ability to sound out CVC words.
