Our teacher evaluation rubric requires that we post the standards that we are currently working on in our classrooms. It is also a best practice for students to know exactly what we are covering in our classes, as well as be reminded of standards that have already been taught. However, it can become quite tiresome to write and rewrite the standards on our boards each morning. Therefore, I have created these colorful posters that you can easily print, laminate, and display throughout the year. The set includes all of the 6th grade Common Core Reading Standards for Literature and Informational Text* in original and kid-friendly language. Posters are provided in both English and Spanish**.
I recommend displaying the posters of the standard you are currently working on in the front of the room. Then, once the standard has been taught, move the posters to a bulletin board and surround it with student work and other visual aids. This will demonstrate to the students, administrators, parents, and other classroom visitors that you are knowledgeable of the standards and are working hard to address them throughout the year.
After downloading, please leave feedback and consider following me so that you are notified of other products that I post.

*Note-RL 6.8 is not applicable to literature, so there isn't a poster for RL6.8.*
