ANOMIA: A problem with word finding or recall OR a fast-paced game relying on your knowledge of items in a category.
Unlike most card games, cards are left in stacks in the center in reach of all players.
One by one, each player draws a card and places it face up in front of them.
As soon as two players have matching colors, there is a showdown!
Each player’s objective is to be faster at naming an item from the category on their opponent’s card.
Player one draws purple. Player two draws blue.
Player three draws red. Player four draws purple.
Player one’s card says ”Body Parts.” Player four’s card says “Dances.”
Player one shouts “TANGO!” just before player four shouts “ARM!”
Player one wins player four’s card. This card is put into player one’s WIN stack.
All previous cards remain in play until another two players’ card colors match.
Players place newly drawn cards on top of the stack of cards in front of them.
No more than two cards should ever match at a time, as all matches should be settled as soon as the second card is pulled.
