Celebrate Reading...Focus on the positives.... All Across America! This brochure activity celebrates reading. It does say America with an American Flag, so keep that in mind when purchasing.
Whether you have a special reading day at your school, such as allowing your kids to read all day or something else, this is a perfect little activity to incorporate.
The graphics included offer a happy whimsical theme and relate to reading.
** A girl and boy version are included.
The is a double fold (sides fold to the center) brochure that is filled with writing opportunities. Students will fill in the following:
*Positive adjectives to describe reading.
*Write an acrostic poem about reading using the word READ.
*If there is something you don't understand while reading, what do you do?
*Illustration of favorite place to read.
*Tell about a recent book: title, author and other info.
*You need to convince people to read. Create a catchy slogan that would persuade people and then illustrate.
Note: The last writing activity mentioned above is on the back of the brochure. If you choose to glue this activity into an interactive journal, your students simply will not do that activity. They will put glue on the back and that will be the part that is glued onto the journal page.
Perfect for any time of the school year.
