The notebooks become an “anchor” for the standards taught, as well, as a reference that your students can use throughout the year. My students enjoy this activity whether its to introduce the letter of the week or its to finish closing the letter of the week. It serves as an enrichment as well. They love seeing all of the language skills they have learned in one place.
