This is a combination of my kindergarten and first grade literacy center packs.
This pack includes 16 literacy activities for kindergarteners to use during the month of February. They are common core-aligned. Your students will love having their own "menu" to keep track of their work.
There are three menus to choose from, each with four categories. The categories include word work, writing, sentence building, reading or word sounds (rhyming, phonemes, and syllables).
~Basketball Blends: consonant blends
~Treasure Sort: short e or not
~Make a Match: match initial consonant and word family
~Lucky Word Making: CVC word making
~Hats off to Real Words: real or nonsense words
~Word Race: Sight words
~Word Hunt: sight words
~Build a Sentence: building a sentence with four words
~Match a Sentence: subject and predicate (but not labeled as that)
~Rebuild a Poem
~Read, Think, Match (two options)
~Read, Visualize, Draw
4 categories of literacy activities (reading, writing, word work, and sentence building). There are 4 centers for each category. This month is extra special because there are some extra centers. There is a menu with some fairy tale themed stuff and a regular March-themed menu. You get both! Here are the activities included:
Rebuild a poem
Read, Think Match (a leprechaun one and a fairy tale one)
Read, visualize, draw
Read and sequence (fairy tale themed one and a spring planting a seed)
rainbow flip book (making words)
Sorting station (short and long u)

How to... (catch a leprechaun or make a pb sandwich)
Sentence or not (determining if it is complete sentence or not)

Rubric and directions for the teacher are also included. This is not just a set of centers. It's also a organizational system to better manage your center time.
