This set of ready-to-go centers has been created especially for teachers who want their students to accelerate during center well as teachers who want meaningful centers without tons of prep work and tons of pieces to store. These were created so that students can work independently and at their level while their teacher pulls small groups. There are 20 different activities (more than 20 weeks worth of weekly centers!)that start simple and get progressively more difficult each week. Also included are blank magazine hunts so that the teacher can decide what you want your students looking for allowing for differentiation in mind. For each center, the only work the teacher has to do is copy a form for each student and have scissors and magazines available for the students. The students look for the items on their sheet (a picture that starts with the a sound or an animal in its habitat or a word you can hear the ow chunk in, etc). The students don't even realize they are working they have so much FUN searching for items. This series correlates with the Treasures reading series (I have one center per unit) BUT is also flexible and kindergarten ready enough for a classroom that is not because the students are looking for items that a typical kindergarten classroom works on a regular basis. Work smarter, not harder teachers! If you use my centers, they are all planned for you and all you have to do is photocopy, leaving you more time to plan for small group instruction!
