A fun memory game to identify 3D shapes in the environment, their attributes, and their names. A fantastic activity for math centers and early finishers.
You can print the game on cardstock, laminate, cut pieces, and place in centers for repeated use.
This packet includes the following:
1. One memory game for the following shapes: sphere, cube, cone, cylinder, pyramid, and rectangular prism.
Match the 3D shapes with one of it's four attributes (faces, edges, vertices, movement-roll,stack,slide), objects that hold that shape, and/or the shape's name. There are also cards to customize the game depending on what vocabulary you use in your class (vertices, points, or corners).
Aligned with the Common Core Standard: K.G.B.4 - Analyze and compare two- and three-dimensional shapes, in different sizes and orientations, using informal language to describe their similarities, differences, parts (e.g., number of sides and vertices/"corners") and other attributes (e.g., having sides of equal length).
Look for my other games and activities with the light blue background and white polka dots. They are also aligned to the Kindergarten Geometry Common Core Standards.
