Over 350 pages of Kindergarten assessments and rubrics!!! This item has been over 4 months in the making. Included in this item, you will find:
* A rubric for EVERY ELA (Literacy) and Math Standard (including sub-standards)
* An assessment (either written, oral, OR observed) for EVERY ELA (Literacy) and Math Standard (including sub-standards)
* Original stories for relevant standards (written by me)
* Directions for the Teacher and Student
* Answers to the assessments
* Recording Forms (for oral assessments OR in the case where the assessment is an observation of behavior)
* Anecdotal Note-Taking Forms (located in the Appendix)
These are assessments. Assessments come in many different forms. A majority of the assessments are either written OR oral. In some cases, the standard does not lend itself to either, resulting in the need for an observation of student skills and behaviors. Directions and Anecdotal Note Taking Forms are included for these types of assessments.
It is understood that students have been taught various lessons and given the opportunity to practice objectives and standards prior to the administration of these assessments. They should also be familiar with the language used in the assessment and within the Common Core.
The rubrics were written according to the standard, not the assessment. Therefore, the rubrics are universal for various assessments you may wish to use, but specific to the standard. You will find some rubrics to be qualitative (mostly for math), while others are quantitative. I encourage you to use the rubrics as a checklist to observe what the student has learned.
To prevent copyright infringement, all stories in this item are original (written by myself) and written to meet the requirements of the standard. In addition, standards are written as “I can…” statements.
Prompting and questioning queues are provided. In few instances, you will need to provide an item or two to complete the assessment (see below). I believe this helps maintain the authenticity of the assessment.
