Kindergarteners now have a fun and simple way to get started with text based answers and gathering information on their own to answer questions. This reproducible book (or collection of individual sheets, if you wish) poses the question, "What is (red)? Teacher provides sheets or book along with a collection of "colors" books, poster, etc., for learners to look for the answer in. Learners draw a picture from the text and copy the word that labels the picture. My kids LOVED doing the activity and having an information book about colors that they wrote themselves! We started this in September! Lesson plan included!
Includes pages for each of the 11 basic colors. Teacher may present them as individual pages to go along with color of the week learning, as a complete book or as a shorter book if desired, (reg, green, yellow and blue, for example).
I also have a listing for color word study lesson plans and reproducibles which give great experiences with common core listening and speaking tasks, as well as practice with color word recognition.
