Product Description
Kindergarten Characters {character traits}

I was frustrated with my students' simple responses to describe characters. Everyone knows that Goldilocks is a girl with blonde hair. I wanted them to be able to do a little more thinking about character traits, so I created this character traits unit for kindergarten learners. I picked words to describe characters that five and six year olds could relate to.

Use the character traits cards or character traits chart to help your students develop the vocabulary needed to describe their favorite characters.

Use the character traits chart and graphic organizers to have your students record character traits.

This activity is aligned with the Kindergarten Common Core standard RL.K.3.
With prompting and support, identify characters, settings and major events in a story.

Check out this unit on my blog, A Place Called Kindergarten.
