Sounds are printed in slashes like this: /m/. Spellings are shown in single quotation marks like this: ‘m’. When using these cards the sound is said first, then a picture that starts with that sound, then the way the sound is spelled.
Example: 1st say /a/(sound), then say /a/ /a/ anteater, spelled 'a' (letter name). /b/, /b/ /b/ baboon spelled 'b'
