This lesson is compatible with the Kindergarten Common Core Math standards K.CC.A.3, K.CC.B.4a, K.CC.B.4b, K.CC.B.4c, and K.CC.B.5.
Learn how to assign a number to an object while counting groups of numbers with this lesson. Teach students that the number 9 crayon means there are 8 before that crayon each representing individual numbers themselves.
***Greater Than or Less Than***
This lesson is compatible with the Kindergarten Common Core Math standard K.CC.C.6 and K.CC.C.7.
In this lesson, we separate items familiar to students into groups, such as toy boats and toy cars. Ask them which group has more or less than the other. Learn tricks to help them remember greater than or less than symbols.
