Description

This packet of task cards is designed to help implement a simple 8-week language intervention for students in kindergarten based on Common Core State Standards. The task cards can also be used as a great warm-up activity for your language sessions.

Included in this packet:

•Kindergarten Pre/Post Test that can be completed with an SLP or teacher.

•Data collection sheet with corresponding Common Core Standards for each activity.

•40 task cards with a variety of language and phonological awareness activities.

•8 cover pages-one for each week of intervention.

How to use these task cards:

•First print the entire packet. Laminate the eight task card pages.

•Cut out each card. Leave the numbered tab on the title cards for each week.

•Use a hole punch to punch a hole in the left corner of each card.

•Use a book leaf ring to hold the cards together.

•Administer the pre/post test to your student. This will give you a good idea of language areas that your student may be having difficulties with.

•Use the Kindergarten Data Collection Sheet to keep track of activities that you have completed with your students. You can use a simple check mark to show that the activity was completed or you can track the number of correct responses out of the total number of items in the activity.

•Activities can be completed daily or you can do a number of activities as a warm up for one session.
