Students can practice Kindergarten Common Core Math Standards while playing modified versions of simple board games. Each game board practices a different standard.
(1) practice counting things in a rectangular array (ten frame)
(2) practice counting things arranged in a circle
(3) practice counting as many as 10 things in a scattered configuration.
Five sets of number cards are included for differentiation. Number cards can be printed on Avery 5163 labels and applied to index cards or card stock for durability.

How to play: Students need 1 game board, 1 set of number cards, and 10 counters. Any kind of “counter” will do… I used frogs! Choose one card at a time and place corresponding number of counters on the game board. Students could also use a die. When your game board is full, play again!
