I have created an all in one fluency and comprehension packet. You can track the fluency of your students and help them learn important comprehension skills all in one place.
What Is Included?
In this resource you will find five simple stories. These are geared to a beginning kindergartener, so they focus on sight words and easy to decode words. There are two versions of each story; one with tracking dots and one without. This way you can differentiate for your students. There is a place for students to color after the first three times that they read, a list of the sight words that are in the story for extra practice, and a comprehension question for each day of the week.
How Would I Use This?
I would use this at the beginning of guided reading or during my whole group lesson. Students get one minute to read as much as they can and mark their ending place. They will then color in the 1 on the page for the first time that they read, the 2 the second time, and the 3 the third time. By marking each time they read they can SEE how they get better. Love that! After that part is finished they will answer one comprehension question.
