I also plan on using these pages for my remote learning live lessons. I will tell my students which page to turn to, and we will complete some activities together. You may choose to number the pages in the bottom corner if you like with a Sharpie before you make your copies. That way, you can tell students to turn to the page number.
If your budget does not provide the funds needed to buy the materials, ask your parents to purchase a one-inch binder and 20 sheet protectors. You can always just send home the pages with instructions for the parents to fill the sheet protectors on their own.
I am so excited to use this resource for my own remote learning. I hope that it helps you with yours!
The cover is editable as well as the introductory letter. All other pages are un-editable for copyright purposes.
If you're looking to prep packets for kindergarten remote learning, this BUNDLE is for you! This resource includes 12 printable books that can be easily printed and sent home or used in your classroom.
Why I Won't Be Going All Digital in Kindergarten
While I love technology, I am concerned about my kindergarten students not getting the necessary pencil and paper tasks that help to build and strengthen their fine motor skills. Swiping left and dragging and dropping cannot replace the importance of establishing a proper pencil grip. For this reason, I will not going all digital for remote learning. My kids NEED to learn to form letters and numbers as well as how to add detailed illustrations. If they do not get the hands-on writing experience, they may not be able to keep up with the writing demands of first grade next year! Using digital resources during live instruction is great, but try to incorporate as much hands on activities as you can. That's why I'll be sending home these paper packets! (Read more on the blog about my passion for developing fine motor skills in kindergarten!)
