This is an EASY way to have your students take ownership, and keep track of their data at school. In my 6 years of kindergarten I have struggled with making data notebooks user friendly for kindergarten. I was at a conference last week, and they mentioned doing something like this, so I decided to make my own. This will hopefully simplify things! I have included what I have found to be the big "I Can Statements" in the language arts and math kindergarten core. Print the pages, cut in half, laminate, and combine the pages with a book ring in the upper left hand corner. Simply have the child use a star hole punch ( or regular) to check off their important milestones. This is a great resource to use at parent teacher conferences, that the students can explain themselves!
