This packet includes 6 centers {3 literacy, 3 math} and 6 extra no-prep practice pages with a fun detective theme. All of the activities have an "I Spy" or "Secret Code" theme. Activities are hands-on, interactive, engaging and perfect for Kindergarten!

There are 6 different centers included, three literacy and three math. Also included are 6 additional no-prep practice pages to reinforce the skills taught in the center. These can be used as remediation, homework, or as an additional center.
•I Spy…Word Families: Students will identify pictures that belong to various CVC short vowel word families. They will record their answers by writing the CVC words on their paper.
•Secret Code Words {Real or Nonsense Words}: Students will identify the beginning sound of each picture to "crack the code" and spell a CVC word. They will read the word and determine if it is a real word or a nonsense word. They will record the word on their paper under the corresponding heading. (Beginning sound reference page is included.)
•Secret Phrases: Students will identify the beginning sound of each picture to solve the code and spell a simple phrase (such as “my red hat”). They will record the phrase on their paper and illustrate the phrase. (Beginning sound reference page is included.)
•Secret Code Addition: Students will use a picture/shape code to create an addition sentence (to 10). They will record the addition sentence on their paper, solve, and record their answer.
•Crack the Code: Students will use the color code to create a subtraction sentence (within 10). They will record the subtraction sentence on their paper, solve, and record their answer.
•I Spy…Shapes: Students will identify real world objects that belong to various 2D shapes. They will record the matching 2D shapes on their paper.
