As Kindergarten teachers we know, first hand, the pressures of getting our young learners to write. These series of writing journals is developmental and is geared towards teaching Kindergarten students to write as their brains develop throughout the year. It starts with pictures, moves to labeling, letter strings, fill in the blanks, and on to full sentences. You will see writing space, lines, and requirements change as the journals progress. Each journal is 20 pages long.
Copy one journal per student, and use daily, during the month indicated, and watch your students shine in writing. Enjoy!
**Note: For Name and Date lines there is both a top and bottom line to encourage small writing and having uppercase letters that touch the top line.**
There is also bottom writing lines on many pages of this journal to begin developing line awareness and uniformity.
