Kindergarten Fairy Tales Close Reads {5 Weeks Included}
Close reading...is not a change to what you teach- just how you teach it! In this packet you will get 5 weeks of explicit close read lesson plans. There are 5 days of lesson plans for each week. The weeks follow the same format for ease of teaching.
Fairy Tales Included: The Three Bears, Three Billy Goats Gruff, The Little Red Hen, The Gingerbread Boy, and Three Little Pigs
Day 1: Cold Read
Day 2: Introduce Unknown Vocabulary
Day 3: Students answer text-dependent questions
Day 4: Students compare and contrast 2 versions of the same fairy tale
Day 5: Students take their knowledge of the close read to a cumulative writing activity
In this packet you will also get retell pieces and teacher chart images.
