Kindergarten Fiction Close Reads {25 Weeks Included}
Close reading...is not a change to what you teach- just how you teach it! In this packet you will get 25 weeks of explicit close read lesson plans. There are 5 days of lesson plans for each week. The weeks follow the same format for ease of teaching. I have also provided the picture cards for all of the vocabulary words!
Day 1: Cold Read
Day 2: Introduce Unknown Vocabulary
Day 3: Students answer text-dependent questions
Day 4: Students work collaboratively on an essential question
Day 5: Students take their knowledge of the close read to a cumulative writing activity
