This activity is part of a larger unit called Syllable Activities Especially for K - 2.
I decided to expand this particular part so teachers could make two syllable books. I have 20 pictures so each book could be 10 pages. Teachers may then choose which pictures they would like to use.
Students look at a picture then write how many syllables it has. This activity can be used in a variety of ways. Teachers may use this as they deem most useful.
Words used include: chameleon, yarn, elephant, heart, hippopotamus, duck, xylophone, rainbow, vacuum, house, umbrella, igloo, ladybug, snail, balloon, cornucopia, butterfly, exclamation, question and rainbow.
