You simply enter your students names and a 1 under the question if the student got the answer correct to give him or her a point. The total points are calculated, and the percent score. It is also color coded to show grouping. If a student didn't do well his/her grade will be highlighted red, yellow if he/she is approaching grade level and green if he/she has met the standard. There are two spaces for each question one is titled pre the other post. Although Go Math Does not have pre tests in Grade K we use the chapter test as both the pre and post tests to show growth at my school.
As you all know (those of you who use this program and received updated materials) Go Math Changed their tests last year. This caused a great problem, because I was using an excel file to document student grades. Some of you may be familiar with this excel file!!! It was very popular in NYC schools. Mine is similar, I updated all the fields to match the new tests, the questions match the standards and updated the formulas to correct the calculations since there are less questions.
If you have difficulty with Excel this may not be the grade book for you, if you were using the previous excel grade book many nyc doe employees were using and you know how to use it then you're going to want this product.
