This is a fun activity for your kindergarteners to do during the last few weeks of school that my daughter, the kindergarten teacher, created. This journal will be a lasting memory keepsake for parents and the student in the years to come.
This packet contains 30 pages with a different topic on each page. Your students will write their journal answers on the lines at the top of the page and then draw and color pictures of their answers at the bottom of the page. My daughter has her students do one a day during the month of May but since there are 30 topics here, you might choose to have your students complete a page every day for the last six weeks.
The students are so proud of their writing skills, and they love to draw and color so this is the perfect end-of-the-year activity.
Because this highlights some of the students’ achievements during the school year, and because it contains memories of their kindergarten year, it makes the perfect keepsake gift for the parents at the end of the year.
