Kindergarten RtI in the fall hinges around counting and number recognition for numbers 1 - 10. This pack of Halloween counting activities will have your kindergartners counting and practicing number recognition with 6 hands on stations and 9 print and go math stations.
The 6 hands on math stations include:
Pumpkin Patch- Ordering numbers to 10 and matching counters to numerals shown on pumpkins.
Monster Mash- Counting and number recognition through finding the missing number in a sequence.
I Want Candy- Numeral recognition and number recognition on a ten frame with candy corn graphics.
Spooky Spiders- Students use a creepy witch finger to count the number of spooky spiders and match the number to the quantity.
Get Out of the Web-A game board designed to practice 1:1 correspondence.
Clip the Cat- Counting regular dot patterns or ten frames and clipping a clothes pin onto the cat with the numeral matching that amount.
The 9 Print & Go Math Stations are a bit more involved than a regular worksheet and will require some combination of scissors, glue, crayons or stampers, paperclips for spinning or dice. While I use these stations in small groups, they are also ideal for quick prep for use with a teaching assistant, parent volunteer or substitute.
