All students can use some extra support sometimes. While most kindergarten classrooms are set up with many of the visuals you will find in this Kindergarten Helper, those visuals are not at their fingertips....these are! Included are the many wonderful things that kindergarten students will learn throughout the year. It is a handy reference guide that can be used right at their desk. What's included? The alphabet and corresponding pictures with short vowel sounds, long vowel sounds, common blends, colors and corresponding words, numbers 1-10 with corresponding words, hundreds chart, 2-D and 3-D shapes, months of the year, days of the week, addition example and key words, subtraction example and key words, number line 1-10, a list of sight words, a place where they can practice writing their name and phone number, some questions to ask them during intervention about their birthday/age/etc., end marks, and the four seasons. You will be delighted how thorough this reference guide is and handy it will be for your students. If you laminate the sheets (total of 7) and punch a hole in the top and use a binder ring....this will last you for many years. If you laminate it....it can also be used as an interactive activity if you give your students a dry erase marker and have them search for and circle different things. That is a great way of getting them used to using this handy guide. It is great when they start to become more independent writers as they have a whole list of sight words in front of them. I am a kindergarten resource teacher and although my students love this....the general education students often ask if they can use it too! Great motivator!
