This is a sheet I use as part of my Responsive Classroom Curriculum in the first six weeks of school. Even if you are not familiar with Responsive Classroom, you can use this sheet as a beginning of the year activity. Allow students to brainstorm what they hope to learn or do in Kindergarten and choose one to illustrate on this sheet. The teacher can fill in the blank to tell their hope and dream. I mount these on colored paper, laminate and hang them up in the room. We develop our classroom rules after we make our Hopes and Dreams.
