What educators are saying

My students enjoyed using this resource to reinforce letter identification! Simple to use and prepare!
I have used these as an uploaded classwork for my distance learning students. They are able to do them without a lot of assistance. Parents liked them too.

This Language Arts Homework for Kindergartners provides a weekly practice of skills in Reading Foundations, Writing, and Language. It is Common Core Aligned.

☞☞ To try a Free 2-week sample click here ☜☜

The design is child friendly and inviting while packed with real work. Many assignments have examples so parents know how to help their children at home.

The work is done right on the page, it is easy to understand, and there is just the right amount of work for each day of the week.

This resource is printer and copier friendly. All you need are two pages, front and back, per week!

For the 1st and 2nd Quarters, you will have a zip file with 3 files inside.

    1. Letters File – Contains letter practice for all letters of the alphabet. (Slightly more rigorous Letter activities in the 2nd Quarter) PDF, not editable.

    2. Literacy File – Contains activities that address other Language Arts CCSS (Reading, Language, and Writing). It is organized sequentially from Week 1 to Week 9. All you have to do is print the 2 sheets labeled for each week. PDF, not editable.

    3. Editable Template – Contains a template that can be used to explain to parents what your homework policy is. PowerPoint, editable.

Why are there no Answer Keys?

But there are! Just not in the typical format…

I embedded answer keys, where necessary, in the homework page itself!

You are still sending home enough support for parents to help!

Suggested weekly format for the 1st and 2nd Quarters:

    • Choose two pages with letter practice and two pages of literacy practice

according to the week you are in.

    • Copy those 4 pages front and back, and make a little packet.

    • Send the homework packet home on Monday and collect it on Friday.

For the 3rd and 4th Quarters, the format changes. These packets follow a weekly pattern. Each day of the week is used for a particular Literacy Domain.

    • On Mondays, there is practice for Reading Foundations

    standards. (RF.K)

    • On Tuesdays, there is practice for Language standards. (LK)

    • OnWednesdays, there is mixed practice for both of the

    previous standards. (RF.K & L.K)

    • On Thursdays, there is practice for Writing standards. (W.K)

Suggested weekly format for the 3rd and 4th Quarters:

    • Print the 4 pages for the week you are in (Week 1, Week 2, etc)

    • Copy those 4 pages front and back, and make a little packet.
