I have many fun and interactive activities that go along with the Kindergarten Literacy by Design curriculum for Theme 1. Some of these many activities include: Squirmy Wormy saves the day by squeezing in between words in a sentence to give them space, driving on CVC roads to decode/sound out words, dot art and Q-Tip sight words, and a sing along to help students remember to read and write from left to right, and much, much more!
These activities correlate with the reading program and provide supplemental and meaningful learning opportunities for students. There are also parent letters to send home to let them know what their child is working on in school. There are detailed instructions for each and every lesson.
Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions. Even if your school does not have this reading program, there are still wonderful resources that you can use for your classroom teaching. I hope you enjoy these activities with your students! If you have other requests for activities, please let me know. I would be happy to make something that would benefit you and your students!
