This assessment is dictated to the student. They will do most of the work. When the teacher is required to carry out a part of the assessment, it will be noted in the assessment. Please mark ‘WS’ for “with support” when you help a child during the task and note how you helped in the answer section for that particular question. Students have different levels of vocabulary, and we as teachers use different wording in our classrooms so it is okay to make some substitutions to make the assessment effective. For instance, you may want to change “fewer than” to “less than” if that is the wording you use in your lessons. The assessment is accompanied by visuals for the assessment interview.
