The 6 centers are:

1) Play Dough Mats for numbers 0-20: Students form the given number with play dough and fill the ten frames with play dough balls to represent the number.

2) How Many are There? : A mat is given with many different objects and quantities. Students count each object, write the amount on the recording sheet, and write the three numbers that come after.

3) Count and Sort: Numbers 1-10 are presented in a variety of ways (written numerals, ten frames, tally marks, fingers on a hand, dice, objects, arrays). Students pull each card and sort it by numbers. Great to use in a sand center hiding cards in the sand and students pull them one by one.

5) Write the Room Addition: Addition cards are taped around room and students use their recording sheet to count and write addition sentence.

6) Addition Number Stories (within 10): Dragonfly counters are provided and students are to use addition number story cards to represent the 2 different color dragonflies and add them up.
