Description

Kindergarten math counting and comparing numbers is a fun spring-themed resource perfect for practice or review! Students will count the pictures in the collage, tally, graph, and answer greater than and less than questions based on the data! 4 pages for each collage - 2 are differentiated.

COUNTING COLLAGE:
Students will use one-to-one correspondence while counting the objects in the picture. Students will show how many with tally marks in each box. Then, students will write the number word next to the tally marks. K.CC.4 K.CC.5

GRAPH DATA REVIEW:
Students will use the data from the COUNTING COLLAGE to fill out the bar graph. Then, students will use the bar graph to identify which object has the most or the least and if the number of objects in one group is greater than objects in another group. Students will compare 3 categories with numbers ranging from 1-10. K.MD.3 K.CC.6

PICTURE DATA REVIEW – level 1:
Students will use the data from the COUNTING COLLAGE to fill out the key on the PICTURE DATA REVIEW page level 1. Then, students will use the key to identify which picture has the most or the least in each box. Students will compare 3 categories with numbers ranging from 1-10. K.CC.6

PICTURE DATA REVIEW – level 2:
Students will use the data from the COUNTING COLLAGE to fill out the key on the PICTURE DATA REVIEW page. Next, students will use the key to write the corresponding number of objects under each picture. Then, they will identify which number has the most or the least in each box. Students will also identify which objects have the most or least in each box, Students will compare 3 categories with numbers ranging from 1-10 K.CC.6 K.CC.7

These are perfect to use as a group, in a center, independent activity, morning work, substitutes, homeschool, or for early finishers!

Standards

Understand the relationship between numbers and quantities; connect counting to cardinality.
When counting objects, say the number names in the standard order, pairing each object with one and only one number name and each number name with one and only one object.
Understand that the last number name said tells the number of objects counted. The number of objects is the same regardless of their arrangement or the order in which they were counted.
