Directions: Students color each picture using a color pattern.

Objective: Identify, copy and extend two and three-element shape patterns.
Directions: Students color, cut and glue shapes on to a snake in a shape pattern.

Worksheet 3: Size Patterns
Objective: Identify, copy and extend two and three-element size patterns.
Directions: Students draw the picture that comes next in each size pattern then draw their own size pattern.

Worksheet 4: Sound Patterns
Objective: Copy and extend rhythm and movement patterns.
Directions: Students act out each pattern by clapping and stomping and then circle the movement that comes next.

Worksheet 5: Pasta Patterns
Objective: Create different kinds of patterns using a variety of materials.
Directions: Students glue pasta (of varying sizes and colors) onto a paper plate to make a pasta pattern. Students draw a replica of their paper plate pasta pattern on the worksheet.

Worksheet 6: Translating Patterns
Objective: Use a variety of materials and modes to translate patterns from one form to another.
Directions: Students translate each shape pattern into a color pattern.

Worksheet 7: Growing Patterns
Objective: Describe and extend growing patterns.
Directions: Students create their own growing pattern using colors, shapes or symbols.

Worksheet 8: Create A Pattern
Objective: Identify, extend and create patterns.
Directions: Students use their knowledge of patterns to create their own color pattern, shape pattern and size pattern.
