This is the second unit in a collection of engaging hands-on lessons designed for teaching Numeracy 6-10 in Kindergarten. It is over 300 pages of activities you can use in you classroom including lesson plans to make your prep time easier.
This unit is 25 days long if you follow the suggested lesson plan grid. However, you may choose to add your own ideas or skip some of the lessons as you feel you need to and some lessons may end up taking more than one day.
If you have already taught these concepts, the activities work really well for small group intervention as well.
There are “We will…” Lesson Framing Cards as well as Vocabulary Cards in Kid-Friendly language to use in introducing a lesson. There is a closing activity for every lesson as well including many ready to print “Tickets Out the Door!”
The main focus of this math unit is the Lesson component of a Balanced Math Routine. There are some ideas for Small Group Intervention and Work Stations as well.
Each topic in this unit has a formal assessment you can use to track your students’ progress on a skill. There are also some grading rubrics if your school requires you to take grades.
This unit has been a work of love for my fellow Kinder teachers, and I hope you enjoy it with your students!!
Please download the preview to get an idea of what is included, but there is SO much more than I could fit into the preview copy. Feel free to email me if you have any questions or visit my blog at www.topoftxteacher.blogspot.com for more info.
Please note….You can purchase the TEKS Texas Tornado Spiral Review with Problem of the Day, Number of the Day, and the Calendar Journal from my TPT store. The Spiral Review is listed on the lesson plan grid, but is not included in this document.
