This is my second set of morning work. It branches off of the original morning work packet, which focuses more on letters.
This packet focuses more on letter sounds (phonics) and math number sense.
Notice - this can also be used for first grade, depending on your students...
What is morning work?
School begins at 8:ish and so do your chores as a teacher - Many of them you cannot do until the students get into the room. Lunch counts, attendance, library book returns, etc. So, what are your students doing at this time? Reading a book? Maybe not quite at this time. So, how can you keep the class maintained, still learning, and fully engaged?
Your students will improve fine motor skills as well as learn to work independently, establish routines, and allow you to get your morning procedures complete.
