Hello Super Stars!
Here is my May addition of my morning work. I have also included extra cover pages if you would like to use it as "extra practice" or "homework". I didn't' want to put "Kindergarten" on the covers just in case if you would like to use these for intervention students above the kindergarten grade (I often do!).
There is 22 pages (1 page for each school day).
The following pages are used as a quick resource to help engage the students in the beginning of the day. I use these as bell ringers with my students. I have them set out at their seats, they are to complete them and turn them in before coming to the carpet for circle time. I then use this information to see where the students are with their letters and numbers and plan my lessons around them. I have found that when students are expected to start work as soon as they arrive it sets the tone for entire day.
- writing their name every day (really great tool to see handwriting progression!)
-Telling time to the hour (tracing the answer at first then students do it on their own)
-Counting pennies and nickels
-fixing the sentences by adding a capital letter and a period to the end of the sentence (they also trace the sentence before they write it on their own)
-Tracing sentences and choosing the correct punctuation (1, . ,?)
-Matching the CVC picture up to the correct version of the CVC word
- Counting base ten blocks (tens and ones together) - there is a lot of focus on counting by tens
-Finding shapes (correctly coloring them in a group)
-Matching the name to the 2d and 3d shape
- Finding the correct beginning and ending digraph for a picture
-5 days where they are free to write their own sight words (small section)
- Number matching to the correct word form
