Looking to do more learning centers in your music classroom? This set has everything you need to do centers to practice steady beat in your Kindergarten classroom (or to review in first grade).

This centers set includes:
*An overview of learning centers, with strategies for setting up in your classroom and directions for organizing each center
*Six centers signs
*Student directions for each center
*Six centers for fast/slow, including:
--Center 1: Steady beat worksheets: students can use a bingo dabber, a pencil, or scissors and glue to sort steady beat/ unsteady beat pictures
--Center 2: Steady beat coloring sheet: Students color the beats, then trace the word "beat," then sing or speak a favorite song or chant as they point to the beat
--Center 3: Beat tracking: Students track the steady beat to the following songs/chants: "Queen Caroline," "Engine Engine," "Bee Bee," "Apple Tree," "Snail Snail," and "Lucy Locket," then sing or speak whatever song or chant they want as they point to the heartbeat
--Center 4: Instrument playing: Students get the instrument on the visual, then sing or speak the song or chant for the picture they see (for example, if they see a wood block and a goat, they play the wood block to the beat as they sing "Nanny Goat")
--Center 5: Assessment for steady beat: Students take turns keeping the beat in different ways as they keep a steady beat to a piece of music. The teacher is anchored at this center, and can assess students
--Center 6: Steady beat cards: Students decide which song or chant to sing or speak from the included cards, then combine it with a movement card, then keep the beat accordingly (patting, stomping, etc.)!
