Do you like America's favorite past time, baseball? If you do you will love this unit full of great activities for your kiddos.
Baseball Math and Literacy Activities are skills games, and worksheets centered on a Baseball Theme. It allows for easy differentiation. This resource can be used with students K, 1st , 2nd grade.
The contents include
Write the Room- Write the room picture cards and Record sheet with a baseball words.
Student Book- Take me out to the Ball Game
Subtraction BUMP- Roll the dice. Subtract the larger number of the die from the smaller number. Put a unfix cube on the answer. The winner is the player that uses all of his/her unfix cubes first!
Addition BUMP-Roll the dice. Add the dice. Put a unfix cube on the answer. The winner is the player that uses all of his/her unfix cubes first!
Measure the Baseball Diamond-Measure the baseball diamond in the classroom with foot prints.
Baseball Scoreboard Date- Select two teams and use addition skills to add up the scores for each game played.
Baseball Equipment Manager- the kiddo counts and graphs baseball items.
Baseball Story Starters- Story starters for the kiddo with a baseball theme.
Batter-up- A game played with a partner. Use dice and try reach the top before getting three outs or singing too many versions of “Take me out to the Ball Game”.
Number Order- Sequence Numbers in order from smallest to largest or largest to smallest.
Baseball Word Search
Concession Snacks- The kiddos pick out the snacks from the concession stand., by counting coins. They have fun choosing and you have fun looking at what they chose.
My favorite Baseball player - This can be professional to high school. Write about your favorite player.
Art Project- Make your favorite player. Pattern ideas are suggested for this fun project.
Baseball Caps_ Color the caps, but the kiddos can’t have any row match.
Baseball Sight word Game- The kiddos draw sight word cards and say the word. It is kept, but don’t strike out before the game is finished. 117 Sight word cards for this game. Win the championship trophy!
