R.E.A.D. Curriculum Notebook

Suggested Daily Schedule

This is a Mini Assessment of the 35 week curriculum.

Teacher Check List: Use these charts to keep track of which word your

student has mastered, and which need work. Words are arranged in weekly

columns however, students should read from left to right. Color in the word

when they get it correct and score the row. Repeat assessment after practice

and game play.

These engaging charts correlate with the assessment charts for easy testing. Then, cut them apart to make flashcards, and for use in the following games.  Blanks can be filled with previous words needing practice.

Games

After assessment provide students with these fun reading games.  Games can be played anytime throughout the year for extra practice and reinforcement.

Early Readers

Each early reader focuses on the previous week's word families and sight words.

Students put their reading skills to the test with this story reader. The goal is for students to read this story three times on their own. If your student is struggling with this reader, take breaks and review or even try to finish it over the weekend.
