When I taught RTI groups, I developed materials to help my students master letter identification, letter-sound correspondence, and sight word recognition skills.
The materials I made gave my students a gradual release of responsibility with the letters as they first colored it, traced and wrote it, found it, and finally built it. These activities work great for introducing letters to the whole group, or can be used to differentiate for struggling students.
