When I taught RTI groups back in 2010, I developed materials to help my students master letter identification, letter-sound correspondence, and sight word recognition skills.
This pack of materials gave my students a gradual release of responsibility with the words as they colored it, traced it, found it, wrote it, and finally built it to reinforce the word. These activities work great for introducing words to the whole group, or can be used to differentiate for struggling students.
