This handy set includes flash cards for the following sounds:
a, m, s, long e , r, d, f, i, th, t, n, c, o, long a, h, u, g, l, w, sh, I, k, long o, v, p, ch, e, b, ing, long i, y, er, x, oo, j, long y (as in my),
wh, qu, z, long u—40 sounds in all.
There are also extra cards in case you want to add digraphs and blends. *The long vowels have a macron above them to designate the long sound. If your program doesn’t use these, simply leave them out and ask students to say both sounds each vowel makes.

RF.K.3 Know and apply grade-level phonics and word analysis skills in decoding words.
• Demonstrate basic knowledge of letter-sound correspondences by producing the primary or most frequent sound for each consonant.
• Associate the long and short sounds with the common spellings (graphemes) for the five major vowels.
