You can see what I said for one specific child in the beginning of the year and what I wrote regarding their growth over the course of the year when I write end of the year comments.
The comments are already formed paragraphs for you to use and edit as you wish. Some paragraphs may appear to be similar, but differ depending on the students academic ability.
You may have to include or add your own comments within my paragraphs if you have a student with behavior issues.

Here is one example of an average student's comment paragraph in the beginning of the year and end of the year.
**Makenzie is a pleasure to have in class. She is considerate, well mannered, and dependable. She excels when challenged and meets classroom expectations, as well as rigorous academic expectations. Makenzie takes great pride in her accomplishments. She is learning to subtract using numbers 0-5 fluently and should practice this skill at home. She frequently reads for enjoyment, uses vocabulary words to enhance her writing, and writes independently. She works cooperatively in small groups and expresses her ideas clearly.
**Makenzie has had a wonderful year. She is an excellent reader and writer. She contributes great ideas during whole group instruction and when working cooperatively with her peers. Her great ideas are expressed in her writing and she has shown ability to use a graphic organizer to write. She has met rigorous academic expectations and always strives to do her best! She enjoyed learning about the life cycle of a chicken and was excited to share her knowledge and experiences. She makes good choices and is well liked by her peers. I am impressed with her eagerness to learn! It has been a pleasure to be her kindergarten teacher and I enjoyed watching her grow!
