Kindergarten Sight Word Card Game
Practice sight words with your kindergarteners with this fun set of cards. Print on card stock, laminate and cut out. The game can be played a number of different ways:
1. Shuffle the cards and set them in a pile in the middle. Have each child take turns drawing a card and reading the word aloud. If they read it correctly, they get to keep the card. If not, it gets passed to the next person. If a "Game Over" card is drawn, the game is over and the person with the most collected cards wins. If a "Give / Take a Card" is drawn, you either give or take a card from another player. The player receiving a card needs to be able to read the word in order to add it to his/her pile.
2. Print the set twice and play memory / match or go fish. (Set "Game Over" and "Give / Take a Card" aside for these games)
